Pregnancy symptom number??....15??? Haha I should really compile all these symptoms into my own book. Today I want to talk about exertion during exercise. Saturday my husband and I went on what was our "usual" 45 minute hike. I got so angry with myself because after about 25 or 30 minutes I was wheezing and exhausted. I have been doing this same hike every Saturday for over a month now and while I have been a little more tired; I certainly wasn't wheezing like an 80 year-old woman! Now I will give myself some credit - the farmers had just plowed the fields and the upturned dirt was a major workout. Just like it's known that taking a walk on sand is a better workout than your typical walk. I'm sure that the plowed fields was much the same if not more intense because the ground was so churned up. I even chose to go at 9 in the morning so it was not as hot out because I know the heat is magnified now that I'm pregnant. For some reason it just made me feel like a failure because I couldn't make it the full 45 minutes - which before pregnancy I would've been able to do no problem. I know I need to give myself a break sometimes but at the same time, your whole world changes when there's another life involved and it certainly does take some adjustment!
