5/24/10- Paula's Eating/Exercise Journal: Monday

It’s amazing how the body insulates itself when you have periods of stress.  I went through hell being stalked and terrorized by my ex-husband for years.  I found great peace and solace from the endorphins I get from exercise.  It saved my mind.  It kept me from needing doctor prescribed medications.

Now, I have a happy, new stress…but stress none the less.  I am moving after 4 ½ years and getting married to the most wonderful, supportive, loving man.  We are blending our families which will total: 2 six year old (boy/girl), 2 eight year olds (boy/girl), my sixteen years old, and there are 2 adult children from his previous marriage.  Wow.  They get along great and his girls are getting used to eating A LOT of vegetables!

With all these happy thoughts, I must admit that moving/packing/organizing the move and a marriage is STRESSFUL!  I make myself carve out my workouts as a stress release for me.  Who could guess that we would have accumulated so much cra$*^%^# in a small home?  My youngest was hardly walking when we moved in here.  I have baby beds, scrap book pages (I used to be religious about the baby memory books).

In the end we will begin our new lives together, purged of a lot of unnecessary baggage and start fresh.  Wish us luck!
